CREATING MANDALAS is a team of experienced guides sharing the transformative qualities of mandalas. We are Susanne F. Fincher, art therapist and author of books on mandalas and Paige Scheinberg, integrative art therapist and business mentor. Our calling is to share what we know about mandalas in order to support your personal growth.

You do not need any previous experience. Just an openness to creating and exploring a variety of themes that relate to life experiences, seasons, and cycles.
The Archetypal Stages of the Great Round of Mandala (aka "The Great Round") was developed by art therapist Joan Kellogg as a model of the qualities of consciousness spontaneously expressed in mandala designs. The Great Round was formulated by Kellogg for research and clinical applications in mental health. Creating Mandalas founder Susanne Fincher recognized the potential of the Great Round for a general audience interested in personal growth and creative self-expression.
Sometimes we'll provide suggestions for materials, but it's always up to you to choose what works best for you for each video lesson. Participants often use drawing, painting, and collage materials. Some enjoy creating on a digital device. You might like to view a video lesson again and create the same mandala with different materials.
Yes, these are considered separate offerings. The monthly, live Monthly Mandalas gatherings are always donation-based to make it accessible for all. A percentage of proceeds from all Monthly Mandalas offerings (live and on demand) go to the CM Scholarship Fund, which aims to increase opportunities for diverse persons to learn about and enjoy Creating Mandalas.
When you purchase during 2026, you get access to all of the Stages we have already covered and released. (For example, if you purchase on June 1, you will get access to Stages 1-5). All remaining Stage lessons will be released by the 3rd Friday of each month throughout 2026 (following the live Monthly Mandalas gathering on the 2nd Friday of each month).
No, the Monthly Mandalas Collection is only available in the full 12 stage set.
When creating this course, we designed each Stage video to be viewed and experienced monthly, but please know that you may find a different way of engaging that works better for you. Perhaps you’ll prefer weekly or bi-weekly viewing.
Stages follow the natural cycle of the seasons of the year (ie, Stage 1 aligns with winter, Stage 7 reminds us of summer.) If you live in the Northern Hemisphere, you may also notice the Stages align with months of the year (i.e., January/Stage 1, February/Stage 2). We encourage you to engage in ways you prefer that support you best!
You have access to this Monthly Mandalas Collection for 13 months from your purchase date.
